In the early 90s, there was an informal meeting of 8 companies in Munich discussing problems of compatibility and interoperability of products with integrated CAN bus. Inspired by the wish to operate CAN networks with products from different manufacturers and to provide specifications for this, the user organization CAN in Automation (CiA) was finally founded in 1992.
Over the years, it has developed into a large organization and today has more than 700 member companies. setod electronics has been one of the founding members from the very beginning and received an award for continuous and active membership early in June this year. For many years, setod electronics has been repeatedly elected to the association committees, such as the business and technical committee, contributing to important grassroots work.
