AMC-CAN4 supports four CAN high-speed interfaces according to ISO 11898-2.
The CAN interfaces are galvanically isolated from each other and from the controller potential. The CAN status is indicated by two LEDs per CAN channel. The LEDs are integrated in the RJ-45 connectors.
The four independent CAN interfaces are designed according to ISO 11898-1 and are controlled via the setodACC (setod Advanced CAN Core) implemented in the Xilinx® Spartan® 3e FPGA. The FPGA supports bus mastering (firstparty DMA). This allows the AMC-CAN4 to initiate write cycles to the host CPU RAM independently of the CPU or the system DMA controller. This reduces the host CPU load and the overall latency.
The product is offered with drivers for Windows and Linux, which can be downloaded free of charge.

Our CAN tools for Windows, which are available free of charge in the CAN SDK, significantly support the user in quickly setting up and easily diagnosing CAN, CAN FD and CANopen networks. The possibility of data logging helps the user to record the data traffic for later analysis and to process it further as a CSV file.
