Termination and T-Connectors
To connect CAN nodes to the main bus cable T-connectors and stub cables are available. The recommended max. length for stub lines is 0.3 m. Both ends of the CAN network have to be terminated with a 120 Ω termination. For external termination several terminating plugs with or without grounding contact for CAN_GND are available. The pin-assignments of the DSUB connectors conform to CiA 106.
- Feed-through connector with integrated 120 Ω termination, CAN termination DSUB (2x DSub9 connector, 1x with plug contacts and 1x with socket contacts).
- Termination connector DSub9 with pin contacts and grounding (including flat plug for optional grounding)
- Termination connector DSub9 with socket contacts and grounding (including flat plug for optional grounding)
- T-Connector: 2x DSub9 connector with socket contacts, 1x DSub9 connector with plug contacts
CAN-Repeater
In addition to the CAN lines, setod offers CAN repeaters with two or three ports, optionally with galvanic isolation.
The I-Repeater can be used to improve the load capacity of the CAN bus with subscribers or to insert a galvanic isolation (design "-Opto").
The Y-Repeater also forms a branch from one to two CAN lines.
Cable
The cables are designed for application in CAN systems. They are compatible with all setod CAN devices. The cable's shield is connected to CAN_GND and protects the differential CAN data signal against electromagnetic influences.
